I’m currently working on a prosthetic leg project V2— it’s been really helpful, so thanks to everyone who contributed.
However, I couldn’t find detailed documentation or CAD data for the z_pylon component, which connects the ankle and knee. It seems to be a critical structural part, but I wasn’t able to locate its detailed design or drawings in the shared resources.
Does anyone know where I can access the CAD model or technical drawings for this component? Alternatively, if anyone has redesigned or modified it, I would really appreciate any guidance or shared experience.
The z_pylon is an outsourced component, so we do not design or machine it ourselves, but here is the model we use in the CAD assembly for integration purposes. The pylon dimensions (e.g., length and wall thickness) are not universal and are often adjusted based on the user’s height, alignment, and loading requirements. We typically source these types of prosthetic components from suppliers such as Bulldog Tools.
